Effective date: 19 October 2026
Poonji Vidhya is an online finance education platform owned and operated by PoonjiVidhya Technologies Private Limited ("Poonji Vidhya", "we", "us"), with its registered office at Second Floor, Amber Tower, O-30, Sansar Chandra Road, Pink City, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302001, India. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website poonjividhya.com, student dashboard, live classes, mobile app and related services, how we use it and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, mobile number and password (stored only in a protected, hashed form).
- Enquiry details: what you share in enquiry or contact forms, such as course of interest and preferred call time.
- Payment details: course, plan, amount, order and payment IDs and payment status. Card, UPI, net-banking and wallet details are entered on Razorpay's secure checkout and are not stored by us.
- Learning data: lessons and lectures watched, mock and quiz answers and scores, chapter progress, live-class attendance, FinLab lab activity, and doubts or requests you raise (including any files you attach).
- Device and sign-in data: device type, browser, time of sign-in and a device identifier, used to keep your account secure and to allow one active login at a time.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and give you access to the courses you have paid for.
- To process payments, issue fee receipts and keep accounting and tax records.
- To run live classes, mocks and learning analytics, and to show your progress and recommendations.
- To reply to enquiries, doubts and support requests, and to send course updates, class reminders and important service messages by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
- To protect our content and students: preventing account sharing, unauthorised recording and misuse.
- To meet legal obligations and resolve disputes.
3. Service providers we use
We share only the information needed with trusted providers who process it on our behalf: Razorpay (payments), Google (secure data storage, email and hosting of our backend), Netlify (website hosting), Zoom (live classes) and YouTube (video delivery). We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use your browser's local storage and essential cookies to keep you signed in, remember your progress and preferences, and keep the dashboard working. We do not use advertising cookies on the student dashboard.
5. Data security and retention
We use reasonable security practices, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and access controls. We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent for marketing messages, by writing to nikhil.gupta@poonjividhya.com. Some records (such as payment and tax records) must be kept as required by law.
To delete your account, use our account deletion request page or email us from your sign-in email. We delete your account and personal data within 30 days, except payment and tax records, which Indian law requires us to keep for 8 years.
Our Android app
The Poonji Vidhya Android app opens the same student dashboard and uses the same account. On your phone it also:
- keeps your sign-in and your upcoming live-class and live-mock times on the phone, only to show you reminders; they are removed when you sign out;
- checks for new class times every few hours using your sign-in, and shows notifications only if you allow them;
- asks for the microphone or camera only if you choose to speak or show video in a live class;
- blocks screenshots and screen recording to protect course material.
The app has no advertising and no third-party analytics, and it does not sell or share your data.
7. Children
Some programmes (such as FinLab) are meant for school students. For users under 18, accounts should be created or used with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with its effective date.
